Christchurch Ready Mix Concrete’s concrete division operates four fully computerised transit mix batching plants, two based at Belfast, one at Hornby and our new plant at Rolleston. Both the Hornby and Rolleston concrete plants work in conjunction with the Belfast plants and this provides excellent access to jobs located in all areas of Christchurch City and the surrounding areas of Canterbury.

The concrete mixer fleet totals 45 mixers, including 9 mini mixers, to meet the demands of both large and smaller projects.  Our fleet is growing to ensure we meet the increased demand for our products and services resulting from the Christchurch rebuild.  All our vehicles are dispatched using a computerised dispatch system.  Our current concrete production rate exceeds 60m3 concrete per hour per plant, a total production capacity of over 200m3 per hour.  We employ sound operational and management systems driven by highly competent staff in each sector of our business.

Christchurch Ready Mix Concrete produces all of their concretes in accordance with the appropriate New Zealand Standards for commercial, residential and decorative uses. Our concrete quality is tested in accordance with NZS 3104 on a daily basis.

What is Ready Mix?

Ready Mix is a standard mix concrete, made when required and transported to sites by a concrete truck.  Foundations, flooring, driveways, paths and retaining walls are some examples that Ready Mix is used for.  Ready Mix is made to specific requirements and often contains additives for colour, waterproofing, hardening, or mixes that allow for pumping to sites with difficult access.
